What will I get?
When you order a Clicpix wall album we make it specially to your measurements and include everything you need to quickly and easily display your treasured pictures on the wall (apart from the pictures)- all delivered free within the UK. Each Clicpix order includes:
A solid oak frame with coated stainless steel wires made to fit your exact space. Each frame is hand made, sanded and then finished with natural Tung oil to bring out the beauty of the wood.
Eight 3M command strips pre fixed to the frame. 3M command strips stick to your wall in seconds and can be easily and quickly removed without damaging the surface.
Enough high power neodymium magnets to fix all your photos quickly and easily in place with 2 magnets per picture. They are strong enough to fix your photos, big enough to handle yet small enough to hardly show. We also give you a few spares just in case.
Two alcohol wipes to clean the area you are gong to stick your clicpix wall album so it stays put.
Two magnets embedded in the bottom of the frame to store any spare magnets so they are easy at hand and won’t get lost.
An instruction and information card which include the magnets and wipes and links to our ‘how to’ video.
Delivery
Each Clicpix order includes free packing and delivery within the UK (Excluding Channel Islands). Each frame is securely packed in a sturdy postal tube and sent to you through one of our trusted delivery partners. Your frame is usually made within 2-3 working days of receiving the order and most people receive their clicpix wall album within a week of placing the order. However as each order is custom made and takes time, delivery can depend on how busy we are and availability of materials. We will notify you on our website before ordering if it is going to take longer than this. We are working on being able to delivery to more countries in the very near future.
Sustainability
Here at Clicpix we try our hardest to limit the impact making our frames has on the environment. The following are our current environmental initiatives and pledges.
Materials
We try and use as many natural and sustainable materials as possible to limit our impact.
Wood: Our timber is sustainably sourced Oak from Europe and comes from managed forests which should be able to supply timber for centuries to come.
Printing and packaging: Our packaging tubes and instruction cards are made of recycled board and printed with eco inks. We have also kept packaging to a minimum to further reduce our impact. We are working with our suppliers to try and find a way to remove the use of plastic end caps and use biodegradable wipes and sachets.
Finishes: Our oak is finished with natural Tung oil which gives a durable and beautiful finish and has good sustainable credentials.
As we grow and can have sway on other aspects of our supply chain including the covering of our stainless wire and source of our magnets we will do so.
One Percent
We pledge to spend 1% of our profits on local and global environmental causes. Each quarter one of our employees chooses which cause or causes they would like to support and we donate to them.
Carbon offset
While we try and keep Clicpix carbon footprint to a minimum, there are some aspects of manufacturing our products and delivering them to you that are, unavoidably, going to create greenhouse gases. For us it is primarily extracting, producing and transporting our materials and delivery of the finished product to you. We realise carbon offsetting isn’t an ideal solution but we also believe it can fund initiatives that do good for our planet, particularly in developing nations. We use emissions calculators based on GHG protocol and donate to VGS or VCS certified schemes.
The future
It’s a fine balance producing a consumer product and trying to be as mindful as possible of our impact on our increasingly fragile planet. We hope we are producing a product that will give many years of pleasure to our customers and they can buy knowing we are doing our best to minimise it’s impact on the planet. As we grow we will increase our involvement in environmental initiatives and strive to make Clicpix as sustainable a company as possible.
About Clicpix
Clicpix started with the desire to get the pictures of my kids and the things we did from my phone to the wall where they could be seen by the whole family. The rented house didn’t allow anything to be hung or stuck that would damage the walls and I wanted to be able to swap the pictures as we did new things. After measuring a spot in the kitchen, making a prototype and putting up the photos, the kids and anyone who visited loved the idea. Since then the design has been improved and website built to allow easy creation of our wall albums for any space. We have recently kitted out our workshop in Kent with a CNC router to ensure each frame is consistently made to the highest standards. As we grow we have ideas for new products, environmental initiatives and an increased clicpix community – we’d love you to follow us to see how it goes @clicpixcom.
